Hi Ho fellow EHS classmates,
Earlier this year we described the opportunity for all donations to EAF in calendar year 2024 to be matched by EHS graduates Russ and Jan (Plumb) Veitch up to $20,000. All donations large or small in 2024 will double in value. The match is still on, but this is the last call. The year is winding down. We do not want to leave money on the table. It is a very generous offer. Please heed the call.
GRANT
What is possible? An example is a recent significant grant of $1,500 for the Alternative Education classroom improvement. The students participated in the planning and the accomplishment that gave the space a much brighter and more inviting feel. A remarkable change.
CHANGE
In an effort to communicate more detail about the grants made and the results enjoyed, we are looking at different channels for information beyond our annual letter asking for donations and listing headline descriptions of grants. Possibilities include a print or electronic newsletter sent more than once per year. We could include much more detail to make the facts tell a richer story of the benefits from each grant. This depends on volunteer involvement we hope to get.
OPERATIONS
The foundation operates with all volunteer help, but there are expenses for office space, printing, mailing, and other technologies. We encourage you to either designate a portion of your donation or make a separate donation for “Operations” to help expand both our solicitation for donations and outreach to potential grant applicants.
